KOSHEEK SEWCHURRAN
Associate Professor and Integral Coach
I am a reflexive practitioner-scholar who does impactful work with executives, skilfully, to ripple impacts. The goal is to walk alongside clients, students, businesses to uncover pathways to grow zest, excellence, and overall wellness to feel more alive with leadership, strategy, and business model innovation.
My coaching approach draws on Integral coaching, the Enneagram, and ontological coaching following the ArtistryinEverydayness (TM) approach. My coaching work and style can be gleaned from my book, Sounding the Depths of Leadership - written during a 6 month sabbatical in 2021 and published on 28 April 2022. The book brings together my industry experience (as a software engineer), with nearly 20 years of philosophical study and over a decade of working in practice with executives to understand how to foster authentic leadership in the ongoing present.

My executive coaching includes the following formats:
-
Personal one-on-one coaching of professionals and executives to grow zest and connection
-
Personal one-on-one coaching of managers and leaders to grow leadership capacity, strategy execution ability and business model innovation skill
-
Group coaching and facilitation to grow connection, healthy team functioning, build trust and enhance conversation effectiveness.
-
Strategy facilitation for organisations and groups to develop and refine strategic direction.
-
Leadership development facilitation for organisations and groups to improve organisational effectiveness.

My PhD study, titled "Towards a regional ontology for information systems project management" fused the theories of Heidegger's Dasein, Bourdieu's Theory of Practice and Maturana & Varela's Theory of Living Systems, to develop a relational model of social construction that also has related phenomenological, existential and biological perspectives.
The core principles of the regional ontology I developed implied that Information Systems projects are sites of continuously evolving action. Project organising or change is the result of re-weaving actor beliefs and habits through the institution of particular cognitive representations, which may be referred to as a temporary organisation, to encourage new experiences. The experience of being together as a project organisation is therefore nothing more than a temporal process of human relating, in which the project team members continually review their futures by actions in the present.
Team coherency, synergy and cooperation are directly influenced by the pace and extent to which the projects mandate is absorbed into the background as a phenomenal domain, and the extent to which it provides affordances for project participants.
